My goal and dream closet of shoes, Khloe K.
I have a love for heels- Because I don’t have the budget for it, I’ll avoid going to malls or shoe stores as it makes me way to depressed. When I do however find myself in a shoe store with enough money, I’m like a child in the candy-store.
My friends, Janine sent me a email showing how Khloe Kardashian’s shoe closet looks, and her obsession with shoes- I am so envious.
This is officially my goal and dream shoe closet.
Some day I hope to achieve it.

Glasses inspired by embarrassing pics of our folks, 80's
Now we call it s fashion trend- but back then we were ashamed when looking through photographs of our parents when they were younger; this was known as 80’s.
As we all known, fashion is always re-invented, re-created and inspired by a certain decade or time-period.
We are now going through a period where we are mostly inspired by various decades and combining it to make what we call ‘stylish looks of 2011’.
Here are a few golden-old pictures from the 80’s- these are common to find in almost every household even if it’s not in an immediate family member; you are bound to have a aunt or an uncle with photographers similar to these.
And then here are some images of how we managed to bring it back into fashion and make it look hot. I wonder if in 20 years time, even 10 year will what we wore seem ridiculous and embarrassing to the future generation- what are we all thinking!

Happenings and clothing of yesterday-
Unfortunately this post could not be put-up yesterday because our internet was down, but it is all relevant to Tuesday, 12 April 2011.
I’ll start off this post by telling you about a personal experience that happened today. It shocked me that nobody bothered to let me know- I would personally tell the persons involved if it ever happened or ever seen. So I travel to work by train and was in such a rush to just get to work because it was just too hot. As I was walking I noticed a few people look at me in a odd way- I then tugged the side of my dress thinking ‘Oh no-please’ and carried on walking. Then I spotted another glance and decided to lift my jacket and tug at my dress again, only to find the horror! The right-hand side of my dress was hooked onto my jackets and was lifted up slightly looking as though my dress was hooked elsewhere. I blushed so bad…even though passer bys didn’t know why as I already made my dress right.
I suggest, if ever you see someone’s dress or skirt being stuck somewhere- just give them a heads up so they don’t walk around humiliating themselves every step they take. But I do have to admit, I am pretty clumsy and can bring bad-luck upon myself as well as ‘Mr Murphy’ and his weird laws that follows me around occasionally.
Check me out.
A while ago I bought myself a little check dress from Mr P. Well today I have decided to wear it to work. I completed the style with black tights and black ankle boot. There is a little bow at the back of the dress so decided to let that be seen by sweeping my hair back into a platted- lower head bun.
Although it is once again boiling, not sure what happened to our autumn winters because we are still having peak summer heat, the clothing in stores of winter doesn’t coincide with eh weather.
So today some of my colleagues in my department (Production) are looking so stunning.
Milla is wearing a boyish black blazer with the sleeves turned-up showing a blue lining. (SEE IMAGE ATTACHED) Accompanied with a indigo blue jeans, she just looks good, stylish, professional yet really feminine. Yes I said she looks feminine wearing a boyish blazer (contradiction, or what) but she pulls the look off great. By adding her special little touch, she wears a chunky gold loop-chain that looks great (SEE IMAGE ATTACHED), also she sweeps her hair up and back in a clip.

Milla's hair swept all in a up hairstyle. A great work look, even adds a touch to the outfit. |

Complete outfit. |
Jodie is wearing a plain white shirt, matched with a high-waited floral skirt and a dark grey jersey. Also with leggings and brown under-the-knee boots. Not a surprise; appears to be a trend amongst us girls for today, but Jodie’s hair is also swept back into a twirl hairstyle. (SEE BOTH IMAGES ATTACHED)
Everybody has their own unique style of dressing- I just relate best to these above styles.
By the Way- Today, 13 April 2011 is Jodie's birthday!! Happy Birthday my friend.

Long Day Ahead-
This morning I completely over-slept which apart from already being late and having to rush, you have less time to decide what to wear. Some people prefer to prepare the outfit the night before in case of some disaster happening, like over-sleeping, I feel you tend to loose the plot and joy of getting dressed in the morning. So today I’m wearing a very light-grey jumpsuit with a navy blue top underneath matched with tan colour peep-toe ankle boot.
I feel a bit odd though but maybe because it is Monday and Monday’s are usually odd emerging from a busy weekend, you tend to be exhausted and feeling all dull.
Hopefully the day gets better and hopefully my outfit will pick up my energy levels.
Wait-another factor has entered this odd-feeling day, the heat is excruciating as well as the fact that our air-conditioning in the building is not functioning correctly.

Big and Bold delicate mint-green with a splash of cherry red.
It’s been a while since I last blogged.
About a week ago, I had a dream about delicate mint-green and cherry-red but combined together. Yes, it is two oddly opposite colours but visualizing it is appear amazing. Imagine wearing a tailored little delicate mint-green shift-dress, add a pair of cherry-red ‘killer’ heels, maybe even a cherry-red lip and you’re ready to go. The cherry-red is more of an added colour, like a minor detail added to complete the entire outfit. So think cherry-red bag with complete delicate mint-green jumpsuit. Other colours can be added- I attempted doing a mood board of what I envisioned but never got around to scanning it in.
In March month of Elle SA Magazine, a shade of delicate mint-green nail polish was added as a gift for consumers who bought the magazine- I think that is where and how my dream was inspired.
Although not the most commonly liked colour- cant be one of the future hottest trends.
I’ll keep you posted if I see anything down the runway of 2011 with a similar colour scheme.

Modcloth site
http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModCloth/Womens/Dresses?page=1
Must see this amazing site especially the dresses- it is vintage! My friend Milla sent it to me and I love it. Even though I studied design and can make my own clothing I have no time as I'm currently studying journalism- so wish I had a magic wand to get all of these dresses in my 'closet'. Ah clothing is such an amazing thing. One can never have too many of anything, there is always room for more.
